The journal retracts the article, “Effect of Processing Parameters on Wear Properties of Hybrid AA1050/Al2O3/TiO2 Composites” [1], cited above.
Following publication, concerns were brought to the attention of the Editorial Office regarding the relevance of a number of references presented in this study.
In accordance with the journal’s standard procedures, the Editorial Office and Editorial Board conducted an investigation that confirmed that a significant proportion of the citations were not appropriately relevant to the context of this publication. Furthermore, the Editorial Board concluded that this article lacked appropriate citations to support the findings that are presented. As a result, the Editorial Board has lost confidence in the reliability of the findings and decided to retract this publication [1], as per MDPI’s retraction policy.
This retraction was approved by the Editor-in-Chief of the Crystals journal.
The authors have been informed of this retraction but did not provide a comment on this decision.
