Error in Figure
In the original publication [1], there was a mistake in Figure 4a as published. The two subfigures corresponding to “Denitrification” and “Assimilatory nitrate reduction” in Figure 4a were inadvertently duplicated, the subfigure for “Assimilatory nitrate reduction” incorrectly used the image from the “Denitrification” subfigure. The corrected Figure 4a appears below. The authors state that the scientific conclusions are unaffected. This correction was approved by the Academic Editor. The original publication has also been updated.
Figure 4. Analysis of soil microbial nitrogen cycling functional genes in infertile mountainous areas and control woodland areas. (a) Flow chart of soil microbial nitrogen cycling and diagram of relative abundances of functional genes in each process. In nutrient cycling flowcharts, red text indicated functional genes showing significant differences in soil types, black text indicated functional genes with no significant differences, gray text indicated undetected functional genes. In diagram of relative abundances of functional genes in each process, lowercase letters indicated significant differences in nitrogen cycling functional genes between rhizosphere and non-rhizosphere of both site conditions at p < 0.05. Dots of different colors represent different treatments, while the size of the dots represents the relative abundance of functional genes.
