2011 Palm Springs Symposium on HIV/AIDS

The 2010 Palm Springs Symposium is organized by the UCLA AIDS Institute and the UCI Cancer Research Institute. Previous symposia have addressed gene therapeutic approaches and novel therapeutic strategies for treatment of HIV-1 infection. The objective of the fifteenth annual symposium is to bring together some of the most highly regarded leaders in the field of AIDS and vaccines to share their expertise in an intimate setting. It is designed to generate productive interactions between scientists working on different aspects of the topics. The symposium will be held at the Hyatt Regency Suites in Palm Springs, California. The size of the meeting will be limited to ensure that the interactive atmosphere of past meetings is maintained.
Located within Southern California's golden triangle, Palm Springs has over 300 sunny days per year, 93 golf courses, 10,000 swimming pools and 600 tennis courts. Because of this, Palm Springs provides a relaxed atmosphere in which attendees and faculty can engage in one-on-one conversations as well as enjoy the recreational opportunities that this golden city offers.
