We invite you to participate in the 33rd Annual Meeting of the American Society for Virology being held in Fort Collins, Colorado and hosted by the Colorado State University.
The 2014 ASV scientific program will include symposia, two (2) satellite symposia; concurrent workshops and poster sessions on a wide range of virology topics; and special educational presentations punctuated by collegial mixers and social events. The conference will also feature a showcase of exhibitors. The meeting will begin Saturday, June 21st with satellite symposia and kicks off with the Welcome Reception at 3:30 pm which will be followed by the Keynote Address at 5:30 pm and the first group of simultaneous workshop sessions that evening. Note: The deadline for the electronic submission of abstracts ended February 3, 2014.
Fort Collins and the Colorado Front Range
The City is a vibrant community with a thriving art and music scene centered in its Old Town district, a short walk from campus, or use the city’s new MAX rapid transit line. An array of culinary options can be found in Old Town and many offer outdoor dining. We urge you to consider spending a few extra days pre- or post-ASV 2014 to take advantage of Colorado’s abundance of natural beauty and recreational activities near Fort Collins, such as walking the Poudre River Trail, mountain biking at Horsetooth Resevoir, fly-fishing and white water rafting on the Cache La Poudre or Big Thompson Rivers, or visiting the Rocky Mountain National Park about an hour drive away in Estes Park, one of America’s most beautiful natural areas. Fly into Denver International Airport, located approximately 60 miles from Fort Collins, where shuttle bus services or car rentals may be reserved for travel to the meeting site.
Accommodations
On-campus residence hall rooms are available for participants. In addition, a number of rooms have been blocked at local hotels which may be reserved by ASV 2014 meeting participants.
