Dear Colleagues,
Green nanomaterials have emerged as a promising approach in biomedical and pharmaceutical applications due to their sustainability, biocompatibility, and eco-friendly synthesis methods. This Special Issue, entitled ‘Advances in Green Nanomaterials for Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Applications’, invites high-quality original research and review articles focusing on the innovative methods of the green synthesis of nanomaterials for various biomedical and pharmaceutical uses.
Green synthesis employs extracts from plants, microorganisms (e.g., bacteria and fungi), and seaweeds (e.g., macro- and microalgae), offering a sustainable alternative to traditional chemical methods. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, controlled drug delivery systems, antimicrobial and antiviral potential of green nanomaterials, nanomaterials for cancer therapy, regenerative medicine, and bioimaging and diagnostic applications. We encourage the submission of studies that explore the development of sustainable nanomaterials derived from these natural resources, their functionalization, and their performance in therapeutic and diagnostic contexts.
The issue aims to highlight the current advancements and challenges in using green nanomaterials as a safer, more environmentally friendly alternative in medical and pharmaceutical applications.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Nanomaterials is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
