Advances in Optical Materials
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The development of new optical materials has been the key factor in the birth of new technology. The topic “Optical Materials” is clearly at the boundary between materials sciences and optical technology. The purpose of this special issue is to gather scientific articles on advanced materials for potential device application.
The guest editors propose to focus on inorganic solid state materials, their properties, design, synthesis, their contribution to novel optical behavior or to improve optical devices. The subject matter cover a full range of topics in optical materials, including, detector materials, optical storage media, materials for integrated optics, nonlinear optical materials, laser materials and rare earth doped materials, IR materials and materials for fiber optics.
