Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are pleased to invite you to the 8th World Tribology Congress, which will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 20 to 25 September 2026. WTC 2026 will bring together academic and industrial experts in tribology research to discuss state-of-the-art developments and future trends in the field, with a particular focus on the role of tribology in achieving net-zero energy.
It aims to highlight recent important progress in all aspects of Tribology, strengthen the links between academia and industry, provide a unique opportunity for discussion concerning the latest developments in Tribology and promote international collaborations and exchanges.
The conference has been organized by four partners:
The Brazilian Tribology Network (TriboBr);
The National Research Institute on Green Tribology Towards the Energy Transition (CT Trib);
The Brazilian Association of Mechanical Sciences(ABCM);
The Brazilian branch of MRS (SBPMat).
Venue:
The Windsor Convention & Expo Centre
