On behalf of the Evaluation Committee, I am pleased to announce the winner of Lubricants Travel Award—Osborne Reynolds Travel Award 2019.
This award was bestowed upon Francesco Lavini, a Ph.D. student in Professor Elisa Riedo’s group at New York University. He is planning to present his work “Friction and Work Function Oscillatory Behavior for an Even and Odd Number of Layers in Polycrystalline MoS2” at the 2nd Korea-Tribology International Symposium (K-TRIB2020), Korea.
This award contributes 500 Swiss Francs towards attending this conference. This was a difficult decision; high-quality applications were made for this award, and we would like to thank all the applicants for submitting their diverse and thought-provoking presentations. We congratulate Mr. Lavini for his accomplishment.
