Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The convergence of AI and Big Data has revolutionized risk and financial management, offering opportunities for proactive risk mitigation, accurate predictive analytics, and efficient decision-making. However, there are also negative implications, including bias, deep fakes, hacks, and market manipulations. This Special Issue aims to explore the transformative and detrimental impacts of AI and Big Data in risk and financial management. It will analyze how these technologies enable data-driven decision-making and optimize financial performance in areas such as credit scoring, fraud detection, portfolio optimization, and regulatory compliance. This Special Issue will also shed light on unethical and malicious uses of AI. The objective is to provide valuable insights into current trends, challenges, and future prospects in utilizing AI and Big Data for risk and financial management.

This Special Issue builds upon existing literature on Big Data analytics, AI techniques, risk management, and financial decision-making. Focusing on the intersection of big data and AI in risk and financial management, it examines applications, challenges, and opportunities. This Special Issue enhances understanding of leveraging AI and Big Data for improved risk assessment, identifying emerging opportunities, and enhancing financial performance. It investigates the evolving regulatory landscape, implications for the responsible use of this convergence in financial decision-making, and the impact on industry dynamics and changing roles. This Special Issue also acknowledges both the positive and negative aspects, contributing valuable insights to the field.

We invite original contributions in English that consolidate and synthesize existing knowledge and provide unique insights into the latest developments and future directions in the field of risk and financial management within the context of Big Data and AI.
