Gendered History

A section of Histories (ISSN 2409-9252).

Section Information

The "Gendered History" section of our scientific journal is dedicated to publishing articles that investigate the roles, experiences, and representations of gender throughout history. This section invites scholarly works that examine how gender has influenced and been influenced by cultural, social, political, and economic contexts across different periods and regions. We encourage submissions that employ diverse methodologies, including archival research, oral histories, feminist theory, and intersectional analysis, to provide nuanced insights into the construction and impact of gender norms and identities. Articles should explore the ways in which gender dynamics have shaped historical events, movements, and everyday life, offering fresh perspectives on both well-known and lesser-known historical phenomena. By fostering interdisciplinary dialogue, this section aims to deepen our understanding of the complexities of gender and its centrality to historical processes. Contributions that challenge traditional narratives and highlight marginalized voices are particularly welcomed, promoting a more inclusive and comprehensive view of history.
