Neurogenomics
A section of Genes (ISSN 2073-4425).
Section Information
The Neurogenomics section comprises papers exploring the interplay between genomics and neurobiology. It addresses how genome complexity, gene regulation, expression and function contribute to nervous system function, development and diseases, along with potential applications of such findings in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders.
Topics considered in the scope of this section include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Associations between multi-omics data and nervous system function, development and disease;
- Functional genomics approaches in neurobiology;
- Genetic factors and molecular diagnosis in neurological disorders;
- Genetic mechanisms underpinning neurological disease progression;
- Experimental models and basic and translational research in neurological diseases;
- Potential therapeutic targets for drug development.
