Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Today, the dairy sector faces numerous challenges that necessitate adaptation to shifting market and social conditions. The modern dairy industry is developing not only in terms of production technology but also in areas related to storage, packaging, and marketing. Increasingly important are solutions that meet consumer needs and market requirements. In the dairy industry, innovations are focused on automation and the digitization of processes. They allow for increases in efficiency and production quality while simultaneously reducing food waste. Businesses must meet growing social and legal expectations (emission reduction, the use of renewable raw materials). In the storage of dairy products, the use of energy-efficient refrigeration technologies, controlled atmosphere storage, and the implementation of systems for monitoring transport and storage conditions are becoming priorities. The development of logistics is supported by the internet, and supply chain tracking increases the security and transparency of the entire process. In the dairy trade, trademarks play a special role: they allow us to distinguish products from different producers on the market.
Trademarks convey diverse information about the goods offered, as well as about the entrepreneur offering the goods. This Special Issue, titled "Current Challenges in the Dairy Industry", is dedicated to exploring current developments and key problems facing the dairy sector.
