XI Brazilian Conference on Rheology—BCR 2026

Dear Colleagues,

From March 15th to 19th, 2026, the XI Brazilian Conference on Rheology (BCR 2026) will be held in Vitória, Espírito Santo, Brazil. More information can be found at https://sbreologia.com.br/xi-brazilian-conference-on-rheology-bcr-2026/.

This conference is supported by the Brazilian Society of Rheology (a member of the International Committee of Rheology) and organized by the Laboratory of Rheology of the Postgraduate Program in Mechanical Engineering at UFES (Federal University of Espírito Santo). Various topics will be addressed, including the use of rheology in industry, the design of polymer blends and composites, the development of biomaterials, and active drag reduction.

This Special Issue aims to publish high-quality research papers and review articles from BCR 2026 that focus on rheology. The conference will cover the following main topics:

• Industrial rheology;
• Polymeric fluids;
• Blends and composites;
• Emulsions, foams and interfacial rheology;
• Colloids and glasses;
• Microrheology and microfluidics;
• Suspensions and granular materials;
• Biomaterials and biological fluids;
• Food rheology;
• Viscoplasticity and thixotropy;
• Advances in rheometric techniques and experimental methods;
• Advances in constitutive equations;
• Non-Newtonian fluid mechanics.

Papers presented at the conference that are of sufficiently high quality will be considered for publication in Fluids. The full manuscripts will be peer-reviewed to validate the research results, developments, and applications.

In addition, relevant submissions by external researchers are also welcome.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Fluids is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
