Feature papers represent the most advanced research with significant potential for high impact in the field. A Feature Paper should be a substantial original Article that involves several techniques or approaches, provides an outlook for future research directions and describes possible research applications.
Feature papers are submitted upon individual invitation or recommendation by the scientific editors and must receive positive feedback from the reviewers.
Editor’s Choice articles are based on recommendations by the scientific editors of MDPI journals from around the world. Editors select a small number of articles recently published in the journal that they believe will be particularly interesting to readers, or important in the respective research area. The aim is to provide a snapshot of some of the most exciting work published in the various research areas of the journal.

As Editor-in-Chief of Epigenomes, I am pleased to announce the winner of the Travel Award in Epigenomes 2020
It has been granted to Dr. Andrea Piunti, a Post-doc Fellow at Northwestern University in Chicago. He plans to attend the Biological Methylation Conference: Fundamental Mechanism in Human Health and Disease (BMCSRC20) in Sicily, Italy, to present his work entitled “CATACOMB: An Inducible Gene That Antagonizes PRC2 Catalytic Activity Via A H3K27M-like Mechanism”.
It was a difficult decision with such high-quality applications for the awards, and we would like to thank all applicants for submitting their diverse and fascinating range of research topics. On behalf of the assessment committee, I congratulate the winner for his accomplishments. We are proud to support this young scientist and wish him further success in his career. The award will consist of 500 Swiss Francs and a certificate.

Dear Colleagues,
As Editor-in-Chief of the Epigenomes Journal, on behalf of the Travel Award 2017 Committee, it is my pleasure to announce that the winner of the 2017 Epigenomes Travel Award is Dr. Eswar Shankar.
Dr. Shankar has been involved in prostate cancer research since 2009. He is currently a research associate in the Department of Urology, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH. He has co-authored more than 20 papers published in international peer-reviewed journals.
On behalf of Epigenomes, Dr. Shankar will be awarded 500 Swiss Francs to attend the Annual Meeting of American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) that will be held 14 – 18 April 2018 in Chicago, Illinois. There, he will present his work on “Synergistic Inhibition of EZH2 and Androgen Receptor Potentiates Death of Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer”.
