Special Issue Information
Dear colleagues,
Artificial Intelligence and information processing has an increasing importance in the development of advanced analytical systems, where multidimensional information-rich photonic sensors are today a key enabling technology for real-time, nondestructive chemical analysis in situ or remote composition analysis for medical, agriculture, environmental, and industrial applications. This Special Issue is a resource of information for the most recent advances in intelligent photonics for chemical sensing in several areas of application, covering topics ranging from fundamentals of sensor physics and engineering, novel sensors materials and procedures, to information processing and artificial intelligence methods. Both review and original research papers are invited for submission in, among others, the following areas applied to chemical sensing:
- Novel intelligent photonic sensors;
- Signal processing and artificial intelligence of photonic sensors;
- New sensing materials and methodologies;
- Advanced photonic biochips and technologies;
- Chemical Imaging and tomography;
- Emergent high-dimensional spectroscopy sensors;
- Emergent applications in medicine, agriculture, environment, and industry;
- Enabling role of intelligent photonics in the future of chemical sensing.

Manuscript Submission Information

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Chemosensors is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.

Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
