ChemEngineering 2021 Young Investigator Award (700 CHF)
Dear colleagues,
It is with deepest regret that we announce that the ChemEngineering 2021 Young Investigator Award has been postponed and the winner will be announced in December 2021 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which has led to most science researchers being hindered and abstracted when doing normal work for academic outputs.
Please note that this prize will be given to one young investigator in recognition of their excellence in the field of chemical engineering or research in the related sciences. All nominations will be assessed by an evaluation committee led by the editor-in-chief, Prof. Dr. Alírio E. Rodrigues.
The Prize:
–700 CHF (Swiss francs);
–Option to publish one paper free of charge in ChemEngineering after peer review in 2022;
–An engraved plaque.
Eligibility and Requirements:
–Must be below 36 years of age (38 for female nominees) or having received a Ph.D. no more than 6 years prior to 31 December 2021;
–Having produced innovative research and good contribution to the advancement of chemical engineering or research in the related sciences;
–The international experience of the nominees as expressed by scholarships, traineeships at or visits to institutes abroad;
–Candidates must be nominated by senior researchers, research directors, or department heads.
List of Documents for Nomination:
–Detailed curriculum vitae including an updated publication list and a list of the researcher’s own research grants;
–Birth certificate or other proof of age;
–Scanned copy of doctorate certificate;
–Signed nomination letters from at least one established senior scientist.

ChemEngineering 2020 Highly Cited Paper Awards
Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the ChemEngineering 2020 Highly Cited Paper Awards, which will recognize the top 5 highly cited papers published in 2020. We hope the awards will encourage the publishing of more excellent papers in ChemEngineering along with your attention on the post-publication promotion. The papers will be selected after thorough evaluation by the ChemEngineering Award Committee led by the EiC, Prof. Dr. Alírio E. Rodrigues.
Eligibility for the Awards:
- Papers published between 1 January 2020 and 31 December 2020;
- Open to all career levels;
- Both regular and Special Issue submissions will be considered.
Selection Criteria:
The papers will be selected by the journal Award Committee according to the following criteria:
- Scientific merit and broad impact;
- Relevance to the journal’s field;
- Originality of the research objectives and/or the ideas presented;
- Creativity of the study design or uniqueness of the approaches and concepts;
- Clarity of presentation;
- Citation, download and views rates in the year 2021.
Prizes:
- 1st Award (one paper): 300 CHF and a chance to publish a paper in ChemEngineering in 2022 with APC waived;
- 2nd Award (two papers): 200 CHF each and a chance to publish a paper in ChemEngineering in 2022 with APC waived;
- 3rd Award (three papers): 100 CHF each and a chance to publish a paper in ChemEngineering in 2022 with APC waived;
- Each winner will receive a certificate.
The winners will be announced on the journal website in January 2022.

ChemEngineering 2020 Winner Announcement - Travel Award
Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Evaluation Committee, I am pleased to announce the winner of the 2020 ChemEngineeering Travel Award.
This award is granted to Dr. Andras Jozsef Toth, a research fellow under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Peter Mizsey at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Budapest, Hungary. Dr. Toth’s research focuses on Wastewater technologies, chemical unit operation and analytic chemistry. He will attend the ESCAPE30 meeting, which will be held on 24 - 27 May 2020 in Milano, Italy.

ChemEngineering 2019 Winner Announcement - Travel Award

On behalf of the Evaluation Committee, I am pleased to announce the winner of the 2019 ChemEngineeering Travel Award.
This award is granted to Dr. Vincenzo Russo, a research fellow under the supervision of Prof. Martino Di Serio at the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, Naples, Italy. Dr. Russo’ research focuses on chemical reaction engineering science concerning both reaction and reactor modelling. He will attend the CatBior meeting, which will be held on 23 September 2019 in Turku, Finland.

ChemEngineering 2018 Winner Announcement - Travel Awards
Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Evaluation Committee, we are pleased to announce the winner of the 2018 ChemEngineering Travel Award.
This award is granted to Dr. Ponnivalavan Babu, a research fellow under the supervision of Associate Professor Praveen Linga from the National University of Singapore. Dr. Babu’s research focuses on energy, water, and climate change pertaining to clathrate hydrate as a technology enabler.
He will present his work at the 2018 AIChE Annual meeting, which will be held on 28 October 2018 in Pittsburgh, PA, USA.
