Since its inception, the conference has cumulatively engaged over 2000 experts and scholars worldwide, facilitating invaluable networking and profound intellectual exchange.

Almaty, Kazakhstan
The International Scientific Conference “Modern Advances in Plant Biology and Biotechnology” (MAPBB2026) will take place in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on 19–20 November 2026. The conference is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Izbasar R. Rakhimbaev.
Organized by the Institute of Plant Biology and Biotechnology (IPBB), Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, and the Institute of Botany and Phytointroduction—with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Academy of Sciences—the conference brings together researchers in plant biology, biotechnology, genetics, and biochemistry. It will serve as a platform for scientific exchange, networking, and research collaboration in Kazakhstan and beyond, across the following areas:
- Genetic resources, biodiversity and plant breeding;
- Plant physiology, biochemistry and biotechnology;
- Molecular biology and modern genomic technologies.
Working languages: Kazakh, Russian, and English.
