Novel Construction Material: Advances and Applications

Dear Colleagues,

In recent decades, construction technology has evolved significantly. Proof of this is seen in the advances in different materials such as the use of carbon fiber or the development of engineered wood products (EWPs). These two examples mark a change in the construction trend towards more efficient and environmentally sustainable solutions. The application of new materials is vital to the success of the construction sector. This involves knowing and understanding how the junctions work, as well as the interaction of different materials in the structural assembly.

The papers to be published in this journal are expected to cover new structural product designs, new measurement techniques, new testing methods, new evaluation and validation procedures, case studies, structural health monitoring, and other topics of interest.

Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Applied Sciences is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
