Greenhouse Gases and Their Environmental Impacts

Dear Colleagues,

Greenhouse gas emissions have been shown to have global effects on climate change, causing environmental impacts on the economies of countries around the world. These impacts, if not mitigated, may require robust adaptation to new rainfall patterns, droughts, and changes in the circulation patterns of atmospheric air masses, which will introduce new climate behaviors.

The attempt to reverse emissions has encountered various obstacles, including political, economic, social, and geopolitical issues. The Climate Convention and the Paris Agreement require greater engagement and compliance with robust emissions-reduction targets from economies.

This Special Issue calls authors to document the main relationships between rising emissions and the emergence of environmental impacts. We hope this publication will present a landmark contribution to the subject.

Manuscript Submission Information

Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Applied Sciences is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
