Introduction: Chickenpox (varicella) is a highly contagious viral disease that can cause severe complications in some population groups. Vaccination is the primary preventive measure and part of Brazil’s national immunization schedule. Evaluating vaccination coverage is essential when measuring public health policy effectiveness and identifying gaps in population immunization. This study analyzes varicella vaccination coverage in the Central-West region of Brazil from 2023 to 2025. Methodology: A descriptive, observational, cross-sectional study using secondary, consolidated data from the InfoMS/Ministry of Health system (2023–2025) assessed vaccination coverage in the Central-West states and the Federal District to describe the regional panorama. No additional tabulation or analytical processing was performed by the authors. Results: Varicella vaccination coverage in the Central-West region averaged 65.05% in 2023 (Federal District 82.6%, Mato Grosso do Sul 74.4%, Mato Grosso 68.75%, Goiás 51.8%). Between 2023 and 2024, coverage rose significantly to 78.84% (Federal District 89.08%, Mato Grosso do Sul 93.97%, Mato Grosso 83.50%, Goiás 66.08%), with notable gains especially in the Federal District and Mato Grosso do Sul. However, in the first half of 2025, coverage declined to a regional average of 63.07% (Federal District 78.90%, Mato Grosso do Sul 70.26%, Mato Grosso 64.34%, Goiás 53.06%), though an increase was expected in the following months. Conclusion: As the 2025 results are still incomplete, the direction of vaccination coverage remains undefined. This reinforces the need for systematic evaluation and targeted interventions aimed at preventing declines in immunization rates.
