Cover Story: Urban green areas contribute to the quality of life of their inhabitants. For this reason, among other issues, efficient management of these environments must assess whether the population has equitable access to urban parks in relation to their quality. The objective of the work is, in the first place, to propose a methodology to calculate an urban park quality index (PQI) through a multi-criteria evaluation system (MCE). Once the valuation of each green area has been obtained, the PQI has been correlated with the sociodemographic characteristics of the closest population to determine the existence and degree of environmental justice. The case study focuses on the city of Tarragona (Spain). View this paper
