Cover Story: The study evaluates the ability of the GAME2AWE exergame platform to assess seniors' motor and cognitive conditions using in-game performance and behavior data. For example, a senior's reaction time to game stimuli could indicate cognitive speed, while movement precision might reveal information about motor skills. The research focuses on creating machine learning models using in-game data to efficiently estimate the motor and cognitive states of the elderly. Although several machine learning techniques were employed, the Random Forest model surpassed others, achieving classification accuracies from 93.6% for cognitive screening to 95.6% for motor assessment. This could be a crucial tool for health professionals, allowing them to remotely identify individuals requiring assistance or intervention. View this paper
