Cover Story: We establish several new functional bounds and uniform bounds (with respect to the variable) for the lower incomplete generalized Fox–Wright functions by means of the representation formulae for the McKay Iv Bessel probability distribution’s cumulative distribution function. New cumulative distribution functions are generated and expressed in terms of lower incomplete Fox–Wright functions and/or generalized hypergeometric functions, whilst in the closing part of the article, related bounding inequalities are obtained for them. The existing phase field model of polymer crystallization contains many parameters that lack actual physical meaning. Although the value of these parameters can be adjusted to obtain results consistent with the experiment, it cannot correspond to the...

Predictability of Population Fluctuations

  • Rodrigo Crespo-Miguel and
  • Francisco J. Cao-García

3 September 2022

Population dynamics is affected by environmental fluctuations (such as climate variations), which have a characteristic correlation time. Strikingly, the time scale of predictability can be larger for the population dynamics than for the underlying e...

We consider a problem of hydrodynamic stability of the liquid displacement by gas in a porous medium in the case when a light gas is located above the liquid. The onset of instability and the evolution of the small shortwave perturbations are investi...

The dynamics of the Caputo-fractional variable-order difference form of the Tinkerbell map are studied. The phase portraits, bifurcation, and largest Lyapunov exponent (LLE) were employed to demonstrate the presence of chaos over a different fraction...

An efficient method such as ranked set sampling is used for estimating the population parameters when the actual observation measurement is expensive and complicated. In this paper, we consider the problem of estimating the two-parameter xgamma (TPXG...
