In the abstract the – geographical scope of the research is not provided. We have info on data from emerging markets and this is all. So provide here at least the number.  It must be corrected. In the introduction I get the information that the research is done for 15 emerging markets in the years 2000-2019, but I still do not know what countries or at least what region. After reading abstract and introduction I should have this information with provided justification for the geographical scope of the research. Then at least short comment on the end of the research in 2019 should be provided.

I have some doubt about research gap diagnosis – so the when the authors indicated that - The distributional effects of macroprudential policies have not been extensively – they should provide the references and at least some comment on the main findings of these limited previously published papers in the field. I think that there are more papers than - Alter et al. (2018), which should be used in the introduction to make the reader aware of the potential value of the current paper.

In the research method – still the information on the geographical scope of the research is not provided. The same with justification for the timespan. It must be corrected.

With respect to discussion of the results – the comparative element to the current literature must be improved – it is very superficial almost not existent.

Generally, speaking I see the value of the paper, it should find potential readers and it can be published after improvements.

The study examine the impact of restrictive macroprudential policies on income inequality using the data from emerging markets.

I appreciate the econometric methods and empirical analysis employed by this research institute, which are suitable for this topic, and the conclusions drawn from the study should be reliable.

Restrictive macroprudential policies require a more detailed introduction, which also needs to be theoretically explained as to why this may lead to income inequality.

I suggest the author add descriptive statistics to the variables.

Section 3 should explain the criteria and specific countries for selecting the 12 emerging economies.

Is the number in parentheses in Table 4 a standard error? There may be some errors. For example, 1.92 * * (0.31), which should be significant at the 1% level. Table A1 also has the same issue.

Attention should be paid to the details of writing, such as the first sentence on page 15. “Figure 5 in, Column 2, On the other hand”

The large amount of empirical results here are not related to the research title. I suggest this indicates the relationship between these empirical findings and the theme of the article.
