The Journal retracts the article “Adsorption capability and mechanism of MgO nanomaterials synthesized by ultrasonic electrodeposition for Pb(II)” [1] cited above.
Following publication, concerns were brought to the attention of the Editorial Office regarding similarities between this publication [1] and previously published articles [2,3] by partially overlapping authorship groups.
Adhering to our complaint procedure, an investigation was conducted by the Editorial Office and Editorial Board that confirmed a significant level of overlap in underlying data and figures between these three publications [1,2,3]. Given the extent of the overlap, the Editorial Board considers this publication to be redundant and has decided to retract this publication [1], as per MDPI’s retraction policy (https://www.mdpi.com/ethics#_bookmark30).
This retraction was approved by the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Coatings.
The authors agreed to this retraction.
