Cover Story: This study investigates how visual perceptual learning enhances the ability to process non-directional motion through dynamic glass patterns (GPs) and modified Random-Dot Kinematograms (mRDKs). We aimed to determine whether learning from one type of visual stimulus could transfer to another stimulus as well as to a different task. Our findings reveal significant performance improvements in GPs and a notable level of learning transfer to mRDKs, alongside partial transfer to a distinct task. These results highlight the complex nature of visual perceptual learning, emphasizing how training effects are shaped by the specific characteristics of visual stimuli and tasks. This study offers valuable insights for future research into visual processing mechanisms. View this paper
