Cover Story: Micro-solar organic Rankine cycle (ORC) systems can provide electric and thermal energy effectively to satisfy buildings’ energy demands. In particular, linear Fresnel reflectors (LFR) coupled with ORC are promising devices. Their production is influenced by the geographic location of the plant, but the attainable primary energy and cost savings are significant across Europe. Especially, the best plant performance can be achieved in Southern Europe. View this paper.
