The journal retracts the article “Numerical Modelling and Proposed Design Rules of 7075-T6 and AA-6086 High-Strength Aluminium Alloy Channels under Concentrated Loading” [1], cited above.
Following publication, concerns were brought to the attention of the Editorial Office relating to overlap between this article [1] and earlier publications [2,3] from the same author group, without appropriate citation.
In accordance with the journal’s standard procedures, an investigation was conducted by the Editorial Office and Editorial Board that confirmed a significant overlap between these three publications [1,2,3], in terms of material, methodology and data. Given the extent of the overlap, the Editorial Board deemed this publication [1] to be redundant. As a result, the Editorial Office and Editorial Board decided to retract this article as per MDPI’s retraction policy.
This retraction was approved by the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Buildings.
The authors have been informed of this retraction but did not provide a comment on this decision.
