The journal retracts the article titled “Individual and Interactive Ecophysiological Effect of Temperature, Watering Regime and Abscisic Acid on the Growth and Development of Tomato Seedlings” [1], cited above.
Following publication, concerns were brought to the attention of the Editorial Office regarding an overlap between this publication [1] and an unpublished undergraduate thesis [2], produced by a different author.
Adhering to our complaint’s procedure, the Editorial Office and Editorial Board conducted an investigation, that was in collaboration with and fully supported by the authors [1], that confirmed an overlap of text and figures between these two articles [1,2], unintentionally, without appropriate acknowledgment or citation. As a result, the authors [1] and the Editorial Board have decided to retract this paper as per MDPI’s retraction policy (https://www.mdpi.com/ethics#_bookmark30; accessed on 6 January 2025).
This retraction was approved by the Editor-in-Chief of Agronomy.
