April 2017 - 26 articles

Cover Story: Yang et al. review the development of borate-based ultraviolet (UV) nonlinear optical (NLO) crystals over the last decade. The structure–property relationship of the optical properties of these crystals is elucidated from the viewpoint of the subgroups of the B-O groups. It is believed that advanced understanding of the mechanisms could have profound significance when searching for novel borate-based crystals with good UV NLO performance. View this paper.
