The authors wish to make the following correction to this paper [1]. In the original article, there was a mistake in Figure 5 as published. A programming error assigned the incorrect voltages to the two cases displayed in the figure. The corrected Figure 5 appears below.
Figure 5. Twist and tilt director angles for the twisted nematic LCD at two different voltages using the genetic algorithm (k11 = 6.4 pN, k22 = 4.0 pN, k33 = 10 pN, d = 2 µm). Inset: schematic of the cell. The twist angle is measured from the x-axis in the xy-plane. The tilt angle is measured perpendicularly from the xy-plane.
The authors apologize for any inconvenience caused and state that the scientific conclusions are unaffected. The original article has been updated.
