Cover Story: Modern energy systems are evolving toward decentralized, intelligent, and resilient architectures driven by interconnected multi-microgrids (MMGs). Understanding their performance requires more than power analysis—it demands an integrated view of control, communication, and cybersecurity. Through a cyber–physical systems perspective, this work explores how quality of service (QoS), co-simulation platforms, and digital interdependence shape MMG reliability and adaptability. By linking computing technologies with real-time control and communication analysis, the study outlines a forward-looking framework for building scalable, secure, and adaptive MMG infrastructures capable of meeting the demands of future smart grids. View this paper
