Point-of-care devices have become increasingly valuable for rapid, on-site analysis, providing an alternative to conventional laboratory-based methods, which can be time-consuming, costly, resource-intensive, and less accessible. Advancements in nanotechnology, microfluidics, artificial intelligence, and (bio)chemical sensing technologies have created unprecedented opportunities for the development of point-of care testing systems with enhanced portability, connectivity, automation, and real-time analytical capabilities. Here, we highlight a selection of publications from Chemosensors (ISSN 2227-9040) that showcase recent developments in point-of-care technologies.
