To further enhance the quality of Surfaces (ISSN: 2571-9637) and the papers published in it, under the guidance of our Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Dr. Gaetano Granozzi, the journal has updated and revised its scope. The original scope and the updated version are listed below:
|
Scope (new version):
|
Scope (old version):
|
|
Topics include but are not limited to:
- 2D materials and heterostructures;
- Adsorption;
- Biointerfaces and interfacial phenomena in biology and nanomedicine;
- Electrochemistry;
- Etching and nanolithography;
- Functional coatings;
- Heterogeneous catalysis, photocatalysis, electrocatalysis;
- Nanoparticles and nanomaterials;
- Porous materials;
- Surface and interface physics & engineering;
- Surface chemistry and reactivity;
- Surface corrosion and corrosion resistance;
- Surface deposition methods;
- Surfactants;
- Thin films.
Types of submissions not considered:
- Manuscripts in which surfaces are irrelevant;
- Manuscripts in which SEM, TEM, or X-ray diffraction techniques serve as the unique mode of characterization of the materials analyzed, as these are not considered surface tools;
- Manuscripts in which the experimental data are not adequately discussed;
- Manuscripts in which the physico-chemical aspects of surfaces are not addressed, e.g., medical, toxicological, or metallurgical papers.
