Meet Us at the Aquaculture Europe 2026, 28 September–1 October 2026, Ljubljana, Slovenia
Conference: Aquaculture Europe 2026
Date: 28 September–1 October 2026
Place: Ljubljana, Slovenia
Conference website: https://www.aquaeas.org/
We are pleased to announce that MDPI will be participating as an exhibitor at the Aquaculture Europe 2026, which will be held from 28 September to 1 October 2026 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Driven by global warming, food- and aquaculture systems face growing climate-related pressures. Shifting water temperature, oxygen, salinity, and sea-level conditions, alongside disease risks, invasive species, and harmful algal blooms, threaten aquaculture output, disproportionately impacting small-to-medium operators. Challenges also bring new possibilities—species diversification, site adjustment, multi-species farming, and carbon-credit mechanisms for aquatic ecosystem services. Hosted in Ljubljana, Slovenia, AE2026 centres on climate adaptation, species adaptive capacity, and related health, welfare, nutrition, and breeding research. Positioned in central-southern Europe, the conference serves as a regional hub for both inland and marine aquaculture innovation.
As part of our commitment to supporting high-quality research in these fields, MDPI is proud to sponsor the event through the participation of the following journals:
- Animals;
- Fishes;
- Hydrobiology;
- Water;
- Antioxidants;
- Limnological Review;
- JMSE;
- Arthropoda;
- Aquaculture Journal;
- Coasts.
Our editorial team will be available on site and would be delighted to meet with attendees. If you are attending the conference, feel free to stop by our booth to learn more about our open access publishing opportunities, ongoing Special Issues, and how we support researchers in advancing their work.
We cordially invite you to participate in this momentous meeting and look forward to meeting you in Ljubljana!
