About Journal of Superintelligence

Aims

Journal of Superintelligence (ISSN 3043-0097) is an international, open access journal on the complete ecosystem of artificial general intelligence (AGI) and superintelligence. Journal of Superintelligence publishes reviews, regular research papers (articles) and data descriptors.

The journal not only focuses on the key technological pathways to advanced intelligence but also addresses the fundamental challenges and profound societal impacts they pose, aiming to become a core academic platform leading development in this interdisciplinary field.

Scope

The journal prioritizes the following three interconnected pillars:

1. Pathways and Theoretical Foundations of Superintelligence
   This pillar focuses on exploring trustworthy, explainable, and controllable forms of advanced intelligence. Specific topics include Secure and trustworthy AGI cognitive architectures and algorithmic paradigms; Explainable multimodal cognition and trustworthy reasoning, theories and implementations of recursively self-improving systems, evaluation benchmarks and testing frameworks for superintelligence safety and trust, and feasibility studies on novel pathways such as brain-computer integration and collective intelligence.
2. Enabling Technologies and Ecosystem Construction
   This pillar focuses on the foundational technologies that significantly accelerate the development of advanced intelligence. The scope encompasses: Computational theories for multimodal perception, understanding, and fusion, embodied AI and physical interactive learning, multimodal embodied learning paradigms, next-generation computing hardware and architectures for AGI, collaboration and competition in autonomous and multi-agent systems, and the development of secure, trustworthy, and open multimodal ecosystems.
3. Impact Assessment, Ethics, and Governance Frameworks
   This pillar is dedicated to guide the societal impact of superintelligence. Core topics include Theories and practices of AI security and trustworthiness and value alignment, the long-term effects of superintelligence, ethical paradigms and global governance models, its disruptive applications in scientific discovery and industrial transformation, strategic research for ensuring a human-centric future of human-machine collaboration and constructing explainable and secure governance frameworks for multimodal human-machine collaboration.
