Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The research on technology and innovation in urban governance is of great importance. It helps cities and governments understand how technology can be leveraged to improve various aspects of urban life, such as transportation, energy efficiency, and public services. This research also enables cities to become more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient, ultimately enhancing their residents’ quality of life.
This Special Issue aims to explore the intersection of technology, innovation, and urban governance in a comprehensive manner, providing a platform for researchers and practitioners to share their insights, findings, and perspectives on how technology and innovation can transform urban governance and address the challenges faced by cities.
The scope of this Special Issue will encompass a wide range of topics, including but not limited to smart city initiatives, digital governance, data-driven decision making, citizen engagement through technology, sustainable urban development, and the impact of emerging technologies on urban governance.
This Special Issue will contribute by offering new research, case studies, and theoretical frameworks that shed light on the latest advancements and trends in technology and innovation in urban governance. It will build upon and supplement the existing body of knowledge by providing fresh perspectives, empirical evidence, and practical insights into the effective implementation and impact of technology-driven solutions in urban contexts.
The overall focus of this issue is to foster a deeper understanding of how technology and innovation can enhance urban governance, improve service delivery, promote citizen participation, and create more sustainable and inclusive cities. By bringing together diverse perspectives and research approaches, this issue will contribute to the ongoing discourse on urban governance and provide valuable insights for policymakers, researchers, and practitioners in the field.
Contributions should fit into one of the journal’s three categories of papers (article, conceptual paper, or review) and address the topic of the Special Issue.
