Encephalomyocarditis—Latest Insights

This special issue belongs to the section “Viral Pathogens“.

Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Encephalomyocarditis virus (EMCV) is considered to be an emerging infectious and zoonotic pathogen. It represents a significant threat that is implicated in sporadic and epizootic outbreaks among different domestic and wild species, including pigs, elephants, nonhuman primates and rodents. Although some aspects of ECMV have already been studied, many gaps remain.

We invite pioneering researchers, virology experts, and passionate scholars to submit their papers to this Special Issue, titled “Encephalomyocarditis—Latest Insights”. We hope that your contributions will play a pivotal role in providing new insights to fill the knowledge gaps regarding this virus.

The aim of this Special Issue is to present original research articles and reviews summarising different facets of Encephalomyocarditis virus infection via insightful analyses that explore a wide range of subjects, like novel species involved in epidemiology, case studies on outbreaks, economic and/or environmental importance and successful intervention strategies, new advancements in prevention, prophylactic and biosecurity measures, and human exposure to the EMCV. We hope that this issue will highlight the importance of continued research. We look forward to hearing from you.
