Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite researchers and clinicians to contribute to this Special Issue of Life, entitled ‘Women’s Reproductive Health: Gynecology, Obstetrics and Oncology’. This Special Issue aims to present contemporary advances and clinically relevant research in the interconnected disciplines of gynecology, obstetrics, and gynecologic oncology, with particular emphasis on translational research, innovative diagnostic approaches, and evidence-based therapeutic strategies that improve women’s health outcomes across the reproductive lifespan.

Recent progress in reproductive medicine, maternal–fetal care, and gynecologic oncology has significantly enhanced the understanding, diagnosis, and management of complex conditions affecting women’s health. Advances in molecular diagnostics, imaging technologies, individualized therapeutic approaches, and multidisciplinary clinical management continue to refine patient care and support more precise and effective treatment strategies. At the same time, emerging translational and clinical research is contributing to improved prevention, early detection, prognostic assessment, and long-term outcomes in both obstetric and gynecologic diseases.

This Special Issue seeks to provide a focused scientific platform for high-quality original research articles and comprehensive reviews that address current challenges and recent developments in women’s reproductive health. Particular interest will be given to studies with clear clinical applicability and translational significance in the fields of obstetrics, gynecology, and gynecologic oncology.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Advances in diagnostic methodologies and therapeutic interventions;
  • Maternal–fetal medicine and management of high-risk pregnancies;
  • Gynecologic oncology: early detection, prognostic factors, and treatment innovations;
  • Molecular, genetic, and translational research with clinical implications;
  • Biomarkers and precision medicine approaches in women’s health;
  • Preventive strategies and individualized patient management;
  • Minimally invasive and multidisciplinary surgical approaches;
  • Fertility preservation and reproductive outcomes in oncologic patients;
  • Health disparities, quality of care, and global perspectives in women’s health.

To enhance the scientific impact and visibility of this Special Issue, contributions will be actively encouraged from researchers and clinicians with expertise in obstetrics, gynecology, reproductive medicine, and gynecologic oncology. The Special Issue will particularly emphasize innovative and multidisciplinary research that bridges basic science and clinical practice, with the goal of providing an academically focused and clinically relevant collection of articles for both researchers and healthcare professionals.

We look forward to receiving your valuable contributions.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Life is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.

  • Ease of navigation: Grouping papers by topic helps scholars navigate broad scope journals more efficiently.
  • Greater discoverability: Special Issues support the reach and impact of scientific research. Articles in Special Issues are more discoverable and cited more frequently.
  • Expansion of research network: Special Issues facilitate connections among authors, fostering scientific collaborations.
  • External promotion: Articles in Special Issues are often promoted through the journal's social media, increasing their visibility.
  • Reprint: MDPI Books provides the opportunity to republish successful Special Issues in book format, both online and in print.
