We are pleased to announce the launch of the “Feature Paper Collection of Optical Materials”, a high-profile Topical Collection led by the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board Members of the journal. This initiative aims to gather and showcase cutting-edge, high-quality research that aligns closely with the journal's scope in the field of optical materials. Authors are invited to submit original research and review articles that explore recent advances, innovative applications, and emerging trends in areas such as photonic materials, metamaterials, optoelectronic devices, luminescent materials, and nanostructured optical systems. We are seeking to highlight significant contributions that are driving scientific and technological progress in optics and photonics.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the collection website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Journal of Optical Materials is an international peer-reviewed open access quarterly journal published by MDPI.
