Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The 4th International Conference on Transportation Infrastructure (ICTI 2018) focuses on developing transportation infrastructure, incorporating infrastructure design, construction, and maintenance and rehabilitation. The availability of effective and efficient transportation infrastructure in the developing world is of utmost importance to support economic and social development. Adequate infrastructure supports all other social and economic activities. It is the goal of an infrastructure engineer to ensure that new infrastructure is well designed and constructed, and existing infrastructure is constantly monitored and well-maintained to preserve the investments made into such infrastructure and optimize the benefits to society.
ICTI2018 focuses on such developments to ensure that new knowledge is gathered and provided in such a format that this new knowledge can support further improvements in infrastructure provision and management. This volume thus contains a selection of the best papers at the ICTI2018 conference that describes novel materials and techniques, improved methodologies, and case studies highlighting novel outcomes.
