Cloud Brokering Mechanisms and Services

Dear Colleagues,

A cloud broker is an entity that manages the use, performance, and delivery of cloud services, and negotiates relationships between cloud providers and cloud consumers.

Service brokering is expected to simplify the matching of users’ needs and the management of service level, to increase dependability, to rise trust in cloud computing, to facilitate the procurement of cloud services in the public sector, to support service and data migration among cloud service provider, to guarantee the composition/selection of legal rule compliant services.

The need for brokering mechanisms and policies particularly arises in federated clouds, Internet-of-things and edge/fog computing architectures, infrastructures and applications.

This special issue seeks high-quality contributions in theoretical and experimental research for cloud service brokering. We invite high-quality paper: presenting solutions solving cloud service broker challenges; and/or describing experiences in designing, implementing and using cloud service brokering to solve real problems; and/or presenting performance studies and comparisons of brokering solutions and technologies.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Information is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
