Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Cherry production has undergone significant transformation in recent years, driven by evolving climate conditions and market demands, technological innovations, and the pursuit of sustainable practices. This Special Issue aims to bring together cutting-edge research and review articles that highlight recent advances in the cultivation of cherry crops (Prunus spp.), with a focus on improving their yield, fruit quality, resource-use efficiency, and resilience to biotic and abiotic stressors.
We invite contributions that explore innovative agronomic techniques, precision agriculture tools, soil and water management strategies, integrated pest and disease management, canopy training systems, rootstock and cultivar selection, and post-harvest practices. Studies addressing the impact of climate change, digital agriculture, and organic and regenerative farming practices, as well as socio-economic and environmental assessments of cultivation innovations, are also welcome.
This Special Issue seeks to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and showcase best practices and breakthroughs that support the sustainable intensification and global competitiveness of cherry cultivation.
