Genetics, Genomics, Breeding, and Biotechnology (G2B2)
A section of Horticulturae (ISSN 2311-7524).
Section Information
The Genetics, Genomics, Breeding, and Biotechnology Section publishes original manuscripts of diverse types related to horticultural crops including vegetables, fruit trees, vines, berries, ornamental shrubs and trees, flowers, and aromatic and medicinal plants.
Publications will highlight research related to use of genetics, genomics, and gene expression approaches for understanding biological processes in horticultural crops. Approaches related to the understanding of genes and genomes, functional genomics, and genome-scale analysis will be considered. Research encompassing all aspects of plant improvement, pre-breeding and breeding methodologies, and research on qualitative and quantitative inheritance of traits in horticultural crops along with biotechnology approaches, including gene editing and synthetic biology approaches for horticultural crop improvement, will also be considered for publication.
In particular, Genetics, Genomics, Breeding, and Biotechnology (G2B2) welcomes contributions by early career researchers and propositions for research topics. In addition, we invite senior scientists to initiate and serve as Guest Editors of new Special Issues on a single and particular theme.
