Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Cardiac surgery is one of the most frequently performed surgical procedures worldwide. The multidisciplinary approach in cardiac surgery is of paramount importance as it enables precise preoperative evaluation and surgical planning and minimizes risks and complications.
The integration of advanced cardiovascular imaging data plays a pivotal role in modern cardiac surgery, providing detailed and high-resolution assessments of cardiac structures and function. By utilizing modalities such as echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), and nuclear imaging, clinicians can obtain a comprehensive understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
We are delighted to extend an invitation to you to contribute to our upcoming Special Issue focusing on cardiac surgery and cardiovascular imaging. This Special Issue aims to bring together cutting-edge research and insights from experts in the field to highlight the latest advancements and future directions in the critical areas of the cardiovascular field.
In this Special Issue, original research articles and reviews are welcome. Research areas may include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Advanced imaging techniques and their role in surgical planning and intraoperative guidance;
- Innovations in minimally invasive cardiac surgery;
- Multidisciplinary approaches combining imaging and surgical expertise;
- Applications of 3D printing in preoperative planning and patient-specific interventions;
- Imaging for postoperative assessment and long-term patient outcomes;
- The impact of artificial intelligence and machine learning on cardiac imaging and surgery.
We look forward to receiving your contributions.
