Special Issue Information
We are pleased to invite you to contribute to this Special Issue, titled “Development of Socio-Emotional Skills and Promoting Psychosocial Well-Being in Educational Settings.” Psychosocial well-being within educational environments plays a fundamental role in the holistic development of students. However, challenges such as school bullying, emotional difficulties, and social disconnection continue to threaten mental health, leading to significant long-term consequences at both personal and social levels. Addressing these issues is thus essential for fostering inclusive, safe, and supportive learning contexts.
The aim of this Special Issue is to gather innovative research and practical experiences that contribute to creating healthy educational settings through evidence-based strategies focused on the enhancement of socio-emotional skills. While preventing bullying is one important outcome, other equally valuable results include the development of resilience, emotional regulation, empathy, positive emotions, connectedness, and overall mental well-being.
Original research articles and reviews are welcome. Suggested themes include, but are not limited to, the following: interventions for fostering socio-emotional skills and resilience; preventive strategies for reducing bullying and violence in educational contexts; programs based on physical activity as a means to improve psychosocial well-being; the use of technologies and active methodologies to promote mental health; and the roles of teachers, families, and school communities in creating positive climates.
We seek to provide a platform for scientific exchange and practical insights that can inform effective strategies to reduce risk behaviors while promoting personal and social development among students.
We look forward to receiving your contributions.
