Global Perspectives on Patient Safety: The Pivotal Role of Nursing Management
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Patient safety is crucial for global healthcare services, as a significant number of patients experience adverse events due to errors in their care. Nurses, as frontline healthcare providers, deliver the majority of patient care during hospitalizations, therefore significantly influencing the safety of the care administered. Nursing leaders can undertake interventions such as ensuring sufficient resources, developing protocols, offering support during care despite errors, supporting workplace well-being, and fostering a culture of safety to mitigate errors and enhance patient safety.
We are pleased to invite you to submit papers for the forthcoming Special Issue entitled “Global Perspectives on Patient Safety: The Pivotal Role of Nursing Management,” published by the “Healthcare” journal.
This Special Issue aims to emphasize nursing management factors that enhance care safety, including error reduction, adverse event mitigation, quality assessment, and the establishment of a safety culture.
Nursing management strategies pertinent to this topic may encompass the application of leadership styles, the work environment, nurse well-being, social support for nurses, and the advancement of innovation.
Original research articles, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses are welcome.
We look forward to receiving your contributions.
