Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue focuses on the toxic effects and mechanisms of biological and chemical hazards in food. It will cover the following main topics: (1) toxic effects and mechanisms of biological hazards; (2) toxic effects and mechanisms of chemical hazards; (3) the natural presence and toxic effects of toxins in food; (4) food safety management systems and risk control. The target audience encompasses researchers, educators, policymakers, and food industry practitioners in the fields of food science, nutrition, public health, and toxicology. The publication of this Special Issue will promote academic exchanges and co-operation in the fields of food science and toxicology. It will also promote research progress and innovation in the field of food safety. At the same time, it will provide a scientific basis for the formulation and implementation of food safety policies and contribute to the protection of public health.

Manuscript Submission Information

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Foods is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
