About Culture

Aims

Culture (ISSN 3042-8165) is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to publishing original research on cultural practices, cultural theory, and cultural policy in a broad sense. The journal aims to foster cross-cultural understanding and critically examine the value of cultural diversity in the context of globalization.

Scope

We welcome submissions that engage with the following areas of inquiry:

• Comparative studies of cultural policy across nations, as well as in-depth analyses of cultural policy within a single country.
• Research on cultural practices across diverse dimensions, including but not limited to the cultural and creative industries, innovations in culture under information technology, and rural cultural development.
• Explorations of the multifaceted value of cultural heritage, particularly in relation to cultural tourism, community well-being, sustainable urban development, and community revitalization.
• Studies on transregional and transnational cultural flows, both within the Global South and in the context of globalization, ranging from the imperial era to the cyber age.
• Investigations into the cultural issues of ethnic minorities and diasporic communities.
• Studies on the historical evolution of cultures across different countries, regions, or ethnic groups.
