Clinical Anesthesiology
A section of Clinics and Practice (ISSN 2039-7283).
Section Information
The Clinical Anesthesiology section of Clinics and Practice publishes clinically focused scholarship spanning anesthesiology, perioperative medicine, and acute and chronic pain care. We welcome original research, systematic reviews, clinical trials, quality-improvement studies, and practice-oriented reviews that advance patient safety, comfort, and outcomes in the operating room, procedural suites, and critical-care environments. Topics include anesthetic techniques and pharmacology, perioperative physiology and monitoring, airway and ventilation management, regional anesthesia and ultrasound guidance, enhanced recovery pathways, and the prevention and management of perioperative complications. The section also prioritizes acute and chronic pain management, including transitional pain, neuropathic pain, cancer-related pain, multidisciplinary care models, interventional pain procedures, rehabilitation, and opioid-sparing strategies. We encourage submissions addressing patient-reported outcomes, equity, and implementation of evidence-based protocols across diverse clinical settings.
